Love Island 2021 Won’t Air On Its Regular Spot On Itv2 On Sunday

Following the Three Lions’ win against Denmark on Wednesday, July 7, the team will face off against Italy on Sunday, July 11.

The game, which kicks off at 8pm on BBC One and ITV simultaneously, will mark England’s men’s team’s first time at a final since winning the World Cup in 1966.

Ahead of Wednesday, ITV2 announced it would delay the episode of Love Island by an hour, in the hope of the two events not clashing.

However, there was still an overlap due to the fact that the semi final went into extra time.

Now Love Island fans are wondering if the reality dating show will be cancelled or delayed to mark the historic sporting occasion.

What time is Love Island on Sunday night?

Currently, Love Island is scheduled to start at 10pm, instead of its usual 9pm slot, and will end at 11pm.

The episode will air as usual on ITV2 and the ITV Hub.

It will be followed by the spin-off show Love Island: Aftersun on the same channel at 11pm.

Love Island host Laura Whitmore will be joined by “Munya Chawawa, HRVY and Clara Amfo to dissect all the latest news and gossip from the villa”.

Love Island fans were fuming on Wednesday, when the reality dating show was delayed due to the Euro 2020 semi final between England and Denmark.

The football match would have clashed with the ITV2 reality show, which usually airs at 9pm.

One Love Island fan tweeted an image of a tearful man, and wrote alongside it: “When you have to wait another hour to watch Love Island tonight due to the football.”

A second person said: “So annoyed Love Island on at 10 tonight because of the football (most) people who watch Love Island are probably not watching the football! #LoveIsland”.

Meanwhile, a third person said: “#LoveIsland isn’t on until 10 tonight. [eye roll emoji]

“Because of football… really? If people want ed to watch the footie they could have just chose to watch Love Island on plus 1 or on catch up, isn’t that what it’s there for?”
