Valencia want to renew Daniel Wass, who is on Marseille’s radar. Pablo Longoria wants the Dane for his team, but the La Liga side will not let him go so easily.
Wass has been linked with a move to Marseille in the last few hours, but ‘Mundo Deportivo’ reports that Valencia want to renew the Danish player so that he continues at the club.
He has another year left on his contract and he is an important member of the Valencia team. That could also be used by Valencia to ask for a larger fee for Marseille.
“I have an immense amount of respect for Daniel. who I was with at Valencia. There’s interest shown in the player and transmitted to Valencia. But they are difficult negotiations, with a player whose contract expires in June 2022,” Longoria, Marseille’s sporting director said.
With Longoria, Valencia signed Wass for six million euros from Celta Vigo where he shone. Now, Valencia want an important offer to let him leave.
Apparently, Marseille’s first offer was around two or three million euros, but Valencia think they can get more for him despite him being 32. That is because of his good performances for Denmark at the Euros.
